Finance Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Oversee financial and administrative operations across roughly 15 skilled nursing facilities.

• Assist in managing patient accounts, billing processes, insurance administration, collections, and outstanding balances.

• Professionally engage with families, internal departments, insurance companies, Social Security, Medicaid, and other pertinent external organizations.

• Handle multiple ongoing cases, tasks, and projects concurrently while ensuring all deadlines are met.

• Investigate, research, and independently resolve intricate financial and administrative challenges.

• Monitor outstanding issues and proactively follow up to ensure they are successfully resolved.

• Maintain precise, complete, and compliant documentation, recognizing that even minor mistakes can have substantial financial or regulatory consequences.

• Provide regular progress updates and escalate issues as necessary when required.

• Contribute to process enhancements and support wider finance and administrative initiatives.

• Take responsibility for assigned tasks and work autonomously with minimal oversight.

• Adjust to shifting priorities and offer additional coordination and administrative assistance as needed.


⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in finance coordination, healthcare administration, medical administration, patient coordination, project coordination, or a related administrative position.

• Experience in healthcare, skilled nursing, long-term care, social care, medical billing, insurance, finance, or patient administration is highly beneficial.

• Outstanding organizational skills combined with a keen attention to detail.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, cases, and deadlines concurrently.

• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Comfortable working independently and taking charge of tasks from initiation to completion.

• Strong administrative and coordination capabilities, with the ability to keep complex processes organized and on track.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to cultivate professional relationships with various stakeholders.

• Strong follow-up abilities and the initiative to proactively handle outstanding tasks.

• Comfortable learning and navigating multiple healthcare and business systems.

• Adaptable, resourceful, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

• High degree of professionalism, discretion, and accountability.

• Fluent in English with clear and professional communication skills.

• Ability to work during US hours (9am-5pm EST).
