Finance & Controlling Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop the controlling function from inception.

• Create a KPI scorecard and a unified source of truth.

• Conduct ongoing run-rate analyses, budget planning, and rolling forecasts with scenario modeling.

• Design dashboards displaying critical metrics such as CAC, MER, advertising cost ratio, and contribution margin post-advertising.

• Execute rolling 13-week cash flow planning and organize the pre-financing for international production.

• Identify both fast-moving and slow-moving products.

• Calculate bundles and assess contribution margins by product and variant.

• Oversee ERP purchasing.

• Evaluate new products, including landed costs, customs duties, and minimum order quantities (MOQs).

• Renegotiate terms and conditions with suppliers.

• Prepare make-or-buy analyses and conduct investment calculations.

• Challenge payment terms, service providers, and agencies through data-driven insights.

• Offer commercial support for international production, new product lines, and investment decisions.

• Report directly to management and act as the primary contact for commercial and financial matters.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree or vocational training in business administration, finance, controlling, or a related discipline.

• Significant experience in controlling or finance, preferably within the e-commerce or physical goods retail industry.

• Strong numerical and analytical capabilities.

• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and a business intelligence tool such as Power BI or Looker Studio.

• Experience in forecasting, cash flow planning, contribution margin analysis, and inventory data management.

• Ability to independently lead commercial and financial projects.

• Fluent in German; proficiency in English is an advantage.

• A hands-on, pragmatic mindset with a strong dedication to completing projects.
