Finance Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Create and compile both standard and ad hoc financial, operational, and performance reports

• Assess accounting workflows, journal entry procedures, reconciliations, reporting tasks, and associated business processes

• Work collaboratively with Accounting & Finance, Information Technology, external vendors, and operational stakeholders

• Assist Accounting and Finance projects through project tracking, communication, documentation, issue resolution, and coordination with stakeholders

• Engage in user acceptance testing, business process validation, and data review for system improvements, upgrades, new functionalities, and process modifications

• Keep process documentation, procedures, workflow diagrams, and training materials up to date

• Investigate accounting and finance operational challenges, pinpoint root causes, and suggest solutions

• Collect business requirements and assess opportunities for technology, automation, and process reengineering

⛳️ Requirements

• Required background in accounting

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline, such as Accounting or Finance

• Capability to develop standard and ad hoc financial, operational, and performance reports

• Competence in evaluating accounting workflows, journal entry procedures, reconciliations, reporting activities, and related business processes

• Ability to collaborate effectively with Accounting & Finance, Information Technology, external vendors, and operational stakeholders

• Skill in supporting project tracking, communication, documentation, issue resolution, and stakeholder coordination

• Experience or willingness to participate in user acceptance testing, business process validation, and data review

• Proficiency in maintaining process documentation, procedures, workflow diagrams, and training materials

• Ability to research accounting and finance operational issues, identify root causes, and propose solutions

• Capacity to gather business requirements and assess opportunities for technology, automation, and process redesign
