Finance Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop the solution as outlined in the solution design.

• Configure the closing and reconciliation procedures.

• Establish integrations with the ERP and other related systems.

• Oversee each process through testing, implementation, and initial support.

• Construct and set up comprehensive closing processes, which encompass task lists, dependencies, approvals, and automated actions.

• Streamline account reconciliation by incorporating matching rules and exception management.

• Automate journal entries from data preparation and validation up to posting in the ERP.

• Connect with SAP S/4HANA or ECC and other source systems using standard connectors, file, and API interfaces.

• Automate intercompany transactions, accruals, and reclassification steps during the closing process.

• Implement workflow logic using REL or JavaScript when standard design tools do not suffice.

• Conduct unit and integration testing, resolve defects, and provide support during user acceptance testing.

• Facilitate the transition of changes between environments, managing cutover and hypercare.

• Create technical documentation and transfer it to the support team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Redwood Finance Automation (RunMyFinance), having personally built closing, reconciliation, or journal processes in at least one live implementation.

• A minimum of 5 years in finance systems or automation engineering.

• Proficient knowledge of SAP FI/CO postings and master data, or the Oracle equivalent.

• Awareness of common failure points in ERP integrations.

• Experience with workflow scripting in REL or JavaScript.

• Practical experience in ERP integration.

• Financial understanding of the record-to-report cycle and month-end controls.

• Proficient in the English language.

• Must reside in the United Kingdom.

• Beneficial but not mandatory: Experience with Redwood RunMyJobs workload automation.

• Beneficial but not mandatory: Familiarity with BlackLine, Trintech, or SAP Advanced Financial Closing.

• Beneficial but not mandatory: A current Redwood certification.

• Beneficial but not mandatory: Experience in financial services or other regulated industries, including work under SOX or similar audit controls.
