Finance and Digitalization Consulting – Accounting & Taxation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Serve as the representative voice for customers in Germany, ensuring their success with the Pennylane platform.

• Fully onboard new clients, including companies and tax advisory firms, onto the Pennylane platform.

• Help customers swiftly achieve maximum value from the solution.

• Act as the main point of contact for current customers.

• Foster trustworthy relationships with customers and identify opportunities for upselling.

• Ensure optimal usage of Pennylane by customers to meet their business objectives.

• Conduct periodic health checks and reviews.

• Enhance customer satisfaction and retention while working to prevent churn.

• Collaborate closely with the German sales team and management.

• Streamline processes and provide insights on product requirements.

• Contribute to the strategic growth of Pennylane in Germany.

• Become proficient in the German finance and accounting landscape and share that expertise with customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–5 years of relevant professional experience in accounting, account management, or a related customer-facing role.

• Experience in a tax firm setting is preferred, but candidates from SaaS or fintech backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.

• Completed training as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellter), tax specialist (Steuerfachwirt), or a qualification as a tax advisor (Steuerberater), or possess a degree in finance.

• In-depth understanding of the needs of companies and/or tax advisors concerning finance, invoicing, and bookkeeping.

• Excellent communication skills coupled with empathy.

• Capability to simplify complex topics for better understanding.

• Proactive and solution-oriented hands-on approach.

• Willingness to help design processes from the ground up.

• Ability to travel to the Paris headquarters for onboarding and for regular customer visits within Germany, approximately once a month.

• Business-fluent German (C2 level or native proficiency).

• Proficient in English.

• Passion for adapting to a constantly evolving work environment.

• Strong collaboration skills and a team-oriented mindset.

• Adequate experience to align daily responsibilities with business priorities.
