This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Take charge of daily financial management for Medical Affairs vendor activities, encompassing invoice assessment, purchase order oversight, funding projections, reconciliations, and monthly reclassifications.
• Oversee ongoing vendor expenditures, utilization rates, case costs, penalty/credit assessments, and operational reporting.
• Analyze significant variances and address data-quality concerns.
• Utilize Excel, Power BI, Coupa, SharePoint, and vendor data sources to verify financial details and maintain comprehensive audit support.
• Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Medical Affairs Operations, health plans, and vendors to address invoice, contract, coding, allocation, and payment discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end closing, accrual estimates, quarterly and annual forecasts, along with ad hoc financial analysis.
• Sustain foundational data and generate quarterly reports comparing forecasts to actual results for leadership review.
• Aid Medical Affairs staffing models by preparing, validating data, conducting trend analysis, updating assumptions, and comparing forecasts to actuals.
• Support contract-impact evaluations by aligning current utilization with proposed pricing terms and identifying potential cost risks or opportunities.
• Enhance recurring reclassification and reporting procedures utilizing existing tools and standardized approaches.
• Keep process documentation up to date and contribute to workflow enhancements.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Over 2 years of experience in financial or data analysis.
• Proficient in Excel, with skills in PivotTables, lookups, SUMIFS, data validation, reconciliation, and maintaining formula-driven spreadsheets.
• Familiarity with financial forecasting, variance analysis, invoice/PO procedures, month-end support, and internal account reconciliation.
• Ability to prepare and validate data inputs, update assumptions, analyze trends, and assist with staffing or other operational forecasting models.
• Capacity to work with incomplete or fluctuating data, pinpoint root causes, document assumptions, and conduct accuracy checks.
• Strong attention to detail, ownership, organization, and ability to manage deadlines across multiple recurring tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with finance, operations, vendors, and leadership stakeholders.
• Experience with Power BI and Coupa is preferred; a willingness to learn new systems is essential.
• A keen interest in process improvement and a readiness to assist in testing, maintaining, and validating workflow enhancements using existing tools.
