Field Trainer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement training and educational programs for new franchisees, managers, and current restaurant staff on company standards, processes, and policies.

• Conduct training sessions aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of restaurant personnel for improved guest service.

• Provide practical training and demonstrations on operational procedures, customer service techniques, and product preparation.

• Ensure that trainees become proficient in using restaurant equipment and technology while adhering to safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.

• Assist in onboarding new hires and franchisees, offering initial training and support, and conducting follow-ups post-training.

• Offer constructive feedback and coaching to enhance trainee performance.

• Deliver training classes both in-person and through virtual platforms.

• Evaluate trainee performance and ensure restaurant personnel are trained in alignment with company standards.

• Stay updated on training methods and techniques, integrating them into brand training programs.

• Review field information and keep abreast of company programs and products to support franchisees.

• Maintain training records and submit them weekly or upon request to the Senior Director of Training & Operations Services.

• Facilitate Train the Trainer sessions as required.

• Serve as a corporate training liaison in the field, communicating training needs and issues to the corporate team.

• Travel to various locations to provide training and oversee the opening of new restaurants.

• Assist in the development of instructional materials for brand training programs.

• Collaborate with Corporate and Franchise Restaurant General Managers to uphold brand standards for Certified Training Restaurants.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager or Trainer in the restaurant industry.

• Proven track record of delivering engaging and effective training sessions employing a range of instructional methods.

• Demonstrated capability to provide constructive feedback and coaching to trainees.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate across various functions on projects at all organizational levels.

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.

• Adaptable to frequent changes, delays, or unforeseen circumstances.

• Proven ability to successfully present to individuals and groups at all organizational levels.

• Capacity to read and interpret safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.

• Ability to compose routine reports and correspondence.

• Capacity to effectively communicate before franchise owners, upper management, or restaurant staff.

• Ability to perform calculations involving discounts, interest, commissions, and proportions/percentages.

• Capacity to apply basic math and algebra concepts.

• Ability to resolve practical issues and provide feedback to trainees.

• Proficiency in restaurant POS systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Experience with Learning Management Systems is preferred.

• ServSafe Certification required.

• Strong understanding of restaurant operations, encompassing food preparation, customer service, and sanitation protocols.

• Ability to demonstrate and teach operational best practices.

• Ability to effectively utilize and explain training materials, including manuals, videos, and job aids.

• Ability to observe and assess trainee performance, pinpointing areas for improvement.

• Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight and extended stays, both domestically and internationally.

• Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
