Field Trainer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute training and educational programs for new franchisees, managers, and current restaurant staff on FAT Brands' standards, processes, and policies.

• Facilitate training sessions aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of restaurant personnel to provide exceptional guest service.

• Deliver hands-on training and demonstrations covering operational procedures, customer service practices, and product preparation techniques.

• Ensure that trainees are adept with restaurant equipment and technology while comprehending safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.

• Assist in the onboarding process for new hires and franchisees, and provide follow-up support post-training.

• Offer constructive feedback and coaching to enhance trainee performance.

• Conduct training classes both in person and through virtual platforms.

• Assess trainee performance and confirm that existing restaurant personnel meet company training standards.

• Keep abreast of training methodologies and integrate them into brand training programs.

• Review field data and stay updated on company programs and products to aid franchisees effectively.

• Complete training documentation and submit it weekly or upon request to the Senior Director of Training & Operations Services.

• Lead Train the Trainer sessions as necessary.

• Serve as a corporate training liaison in the field, reporting on training needs and challenges.

• Travel to various locations to conduct training and oversee the opening of new restaurants.

• Aid in the creation of instructional materials for brand training initiatives.

• Collaborate with Corporate and Franchise Restaurant General Managers to uphold brand standards for Certified Training Restaurants.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager or Trainer within a restaurant organization.

• Proven track record of delivering engaging and effective training sessions utilizing diverse instructional methods.

• Demonstrated capability to provide constructive feedback and coaching to trainees.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate on projects across various levels of the organization.

• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Adaptable to frequent changes, delays, or unexpected situations.

• Proven ability to deliver successful presentations to individuals and groups at all organizational levels.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.

• Competent in writing routine reports and correspondence.

• Ability to effectively communicate with franchise owners, upper management, or restaurant staff.

• Capable of performing calculations related to discounts, interest, commissions, and proportions/percentages.

• Able to apply basic math and algebra concepts.

• Skilled in solving practical problems and offering feedback to trainees.

• Proficient with restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management software, and the Microsoft Office Suite.

• Experience with Learning Management Systems is preferred.

• ServSafe Certification is required.

• Comprehensive understanding of restaurant operations, including food prep, customer service, and sanitation practices.

• Ability to demonstrate and teach operational best practices.

• Capable of effectively utilizing and explaining training materials, including manuals, videos, and job aids.

• Proficient in observing and evaluating trainee performance to identify improvement areas.

• Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight and extended trips, both domestically and internationally.

• Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• Thorough knowledge of the company's brand standards, products, and services.
