This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +1 more state.
• Provide technical assistance to address network performance challenges and aid in resolving outages.
• Oversee smaller projects or segments of larger projects, ensuring accurate status reports and progress updates.
• Suggest and advocate for maintenance and repair process enhancements to senior personnel and management.
• Collaborate with senior technicians to create job aids, scopes of work, and procedural documentation.
• Complete necessary training to stay updated on systems, products, and organizational standards.
• Support network operations in the South and Southwestern regions of Kentucky.
• Enhance and sustain network performance and reliability across a broad range of sites.
• Undertake additional tasks and projects as assigned by business management.
• Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience (Required).
• Vocational/Technical Training or a related field (Preferred).
• 2–4 years of experience in Field Operations and maintenance.
• 2–4 years of experience in wireless telecommunications or a related field.
• Familiarity with electronics.
• Basic operational understanding of RF transmitters, antenna systems, AAV, fiber, microwave radio, AC-DC power systems, and AI.
• Practical knowledge of Radio Access Network (RAN) architecture, components, and operations.
• Comprehension of wireless backhaul technologies, including microwave and fiber-based solutions.
• Experience with or the ability to learn 5G New Radio (NR) standards and RAN equipment.
• Working knowledge of base station equipment, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Capacity to enhance skills through ongoing training, certifications, and practical experience.
• Familiarity with disaster recovery protocols and contingency plans.
• Capability to systematically identify and resolve network issues across hardware and software systems.
• Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute field assignments while managing time, resources, and priorities.
• Proficiency in providing hands-on technical support and field-level assistance.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comparable productivity tools.
• Understanding of Internet Protocol and readiness to utilize AI-driven tools.
• Ability to operate fiber, line, and antenna testing equipment (Preferred).
• Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company-assigned vehicle.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Willingness to travel.
• Flexible hours are required, including day and night shifts, weekends, holidays, and participation in market on-call rotation.
• Ability to lift between 50 and 70 pounds and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
