This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct assessments of facility conditions and MEP systems.

• Carry out inspections for construction projects and commissioning at sites.

• Gather site data for energy audit evaluations.

• Execute retro-commissioning field investigations.

• Perform field inspections of government, commercial, industrial, manufacturing, and institutional properties.

• Collect information to aid in reviewing and tracking progress and status on ongoing construction projects.

• Provide construction oversight and verification reviews as necessary.

• Review submittals and respond to RFIs.

• Validate plans on-site against actual construction conditions.

• Participate in contractor-owner meetings.

• Review and address pay applications.

• Assist in commissioning field activities, construction verification, and field functional testing.

• Take measurements, conduct tests to compare in-place work to contract specifications, and observe work activities throughout the construction process.


⛳️ Requirements

• Knowledge and experience with various building systems, including MEP and Building Controls.

• Strong understanding of testing and balancing processes.

• Experience in conducting equipment inspections and collecting site data.

• Background in construction management or project oversight.

• Ability to assess construction site conditions against contract documents.

• Familiarity with building standards and codes.

• Proficient report writing, computer, and internet skills.

• Strong communication abilities.

• Exceptional time management and organizational skills.

• Capability to complete assignments punctually and within budget constraints.

• Willingness to travel on short notice (1 week or less).

• Associate degree in Engineering or related fields.

• EIT designation is preferred.

• Physical ability to see, hear, walk, drive, climb, reach, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.

• Capability to work in construction site conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, heights, odors, enclosed spaces, unstable footing, stairs, rough terrain, adverse weather, ladders, and roofs.

• Physical ability to take measurements, conduct tests, and observe work activities during construction.

• Job offer is contingent upon work status eligibility and successful completion of a federal government background check.
