This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the maintenance, replacement, and repair of key components of wind turbine generators across the United States.
• Diagnose complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on variable pitch/variable speed turbines.
• Support site preparation activities, including the coordination of labor and materials, with minimal oversight.
• Record all work completed through computer-based service reporting methods.
• Relay site status updates to engineers, customers, and management.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 4 years of experience as a Wind Turbine Technician or a minimum of 6 years in a related field such as electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, or renewable energy.
• Willingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally 90% of the time, as necessary.
• Capability and readiness to operate heavy machinery.
• Capacity and willingness to signal and rig loads of up to 100 tons.
• Ability and readiness to work at heights of at least 300 feet.
• Ability to adhere to specific OSHA weight limits, from 250 to 300 lbs maximum.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Ability to handle repetitive weights of 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
• Capability to work in industrial, manufacturing, and power industry environments.
• Availability for rotation shift schedules 24/7.
• Proficient in reading and understanding electrical schematic diagrams.
• Previous experience with wind turbines.
• Initiative to work independently without direct supervision.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, procedures, and regulations.
• Skills to write reports and perform basic arithmetic across all units of measure.
• Experience in electrical, mechanical, and/or hydraulic systems.
• Proficient in using hydraulic power tools.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment for facility maintenance, including crane and rigging knowledge.
• Competent computer skills in Excel, Word, and web tools.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Excellent organizational capabilities.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of a drug screening, if applicable.
