This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee and guide a team of HVAC field service technicians responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of HVAC systems within data centers.
• Create and execute service protocols and best practices tailored for data center HVAC operations.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards, government regulations, and safety protocols.
• Work alongside data center project managers and stakeholders to address preventive maintenance, system failures, and develop customized solutions.
• Monitor and enhance inventory levels to ensure service vehicles are equipped with necessary parts and tools.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams on strategies for data center HVAC services.
• Manage customer feedback through the C2 customer complaint system.
• Assist with Services sales promotions, tools, and objectives.
• Provide feedback on Service Sales regarding scope definition and associated costs, while also sharing leads.
• Offer insights to Service Engineering on the quality and availability of technical support.
• Share leads with both the Sales PM Team and the Service Sales Team.
• Engage in recruiting activities as needed.
• Advise supervisors and relevant personnel on schedule conflicts, service challenges, equipment issues, employee matters, and other job-related concerns.
• Conduct orientation for new hires, field training, and ongoing educational programs.
• Execute quality assurance checks in the field.
• Enter timesheets accurately.
• Review, prepare, submit, and authorize expense reports for payment.
• Generate service reports and assess field technician narratives.
• 5-7 years of extensive experience in the HVAC sector, particularly within data center environments.
• At least 3 years of experience in a leadership position managing a team of technicians.
• Profound understanding of the specialized demands and obstacles linked to data center HVAC systems.
• Strong grasp of data center infrastructure and operational standards.
• Experience with advanced monitoring and management systems utilized in data centers.
• Exceptional problem-solving capabilities combined with a keen attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel (with short notice) across multiple site locations to fulfill business requirements as needed.
• Familiarity with data center certifications such as CDCMP, CDCP, or similar is advantageous.
• Relevant HVAC certifications; EPA Certification is highly preferred.
• Strong preference for experience with refrigeration and controls.
• Proficient computer skills, especially in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Capacity to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve performance goals and support the mission and vision of the Data Center Business.
• Clean driving record and readiness to travel frequently to various job sites.
• Capability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently or consistently.
• Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, and lift.
• Close visual acuity for data preparation and analysis, viewing computer screens, and extensive reading.
