This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
β’ Lead and mentor a team of HVAC field service technicians responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of HVAC systems in data center environments.
β’ Develop and implement service protocols and best practices for HVAC operations in data centers, ensuring adherence to industry standards and government regulations.
β’ Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders on preventive maintenance, quick responses to system failures, and tailored solutions.
β’ Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and promote a culture that prioritizes safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
β’ Oversee inventory management procedures to ensure service vehicles are equipped with necessary parts and tools.
β’ Work with sales and marketing teams on strategies for data center HVAC services.
β’ Manage customer experiences through the C2 customer complaint system.
β’ Assist in supporting Services sales promotions, tools, and objectives.
β’ Provide feedback to Service Sales regarding scope definition and cost estimations, and share leads.
β’ Offer insights to Service Engineering on the quality and availability of technical support.
β’ Share leads with Sales PM and Service Sales teams to enhance Service Sales opportunities.
β’ Participate in recruitment activities when required.
β’ Advise supervisors or relevant personnel regarding schedule conflicts, service challenges, equipment issues, employee concerns, and other job-related matters.
β’ Conduct new hire orientations, field training, and continuous education.
β’ Perform quality assurance checks in the field.
β’ Complete back-office service administration tasks, including timesheet entries, expense report reviews/preparations/submissions/approvals, and service report creation/review.
β’ 5-7 years of extensive experience in the HVAC sector, with a strong emphasis on data center environments.
β’ At least 3 years in a leadership position managing a team of technicians.
β’ Comprehensive knowledge of the unique demands and challenges related to data center HVAC systems.
β’ Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and operational standards.
β’ Familiarity with advanced monitoring and management systems utilized in data centers.
β’ Exceptional problem-solving skills combined with a keen attention to detail.
β’ Willingness to travel (sometimes on short notice) to various site locations as business needs arise.
β’ Proficient computer skills, including expertise in Microsoft Office Suite.
β’ Excellent communication and customer service capabilities.
β’ Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve performance goals and support the mission and vision of the Data Center Business.
β’ Clean driving record and a readiness to travel frequently to different job sites.
β’ Medium Work: Capability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or constantly to move objects.
β’ Skills in climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
β’ Close visual acuity for tasks such as data preparation and analysis, viewing computer screens, and extensive reading.
