This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Spearhead the swift resolution of supplier-related issues affecting the factory through analytical problem-solving, collaborative efforts across functions, and effective communication.
• Oversee supplier quality performance by implementing prevention strategies, monitoring/escalation processes, and evaluating nonconforming materials.
• Assess supplier non-conformances and formulate corrective and preventive action plans that tackle systemic challenges.
• Conduct and coordinate Source Inspections.
• Investigate issues with supplied materials, ensuring that defect documentation, root cause analysis, and corrective measures are executed correctly.
• Oversee supplier onboarding, source inspections, and qualification/certification processes.
• Aid in escape management processes by steering RCCA, problem-solving, and implementing corrective/preventive actions for systemic supplier process concerns.
• Analyze supplier quality metrics and create supplier-specific quality strategies utilizing PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow, SPC, and various other quality tools.
• Employ various communication and influencing techniques to achieve alignment with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Foster cross-functional teamwork and adjust working styles in response to shifting priorities.
• Support Collins Aerospace supplier programs aimed at continuous improvement and long-term viability.
• Assist with the quarantine, containment, and evaluation of potentially defective hardware when necessary.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, program management, commodities, and factory support teams across multiple Collins locations.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
• Over 6 years of experience in a supply chain or supplier operations setting, or an equivalent background.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• Demonstrated capability to cultivate strong working relationships with suppliers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• Experience in electronics, mechanical hardware inspection, or understanding engineering drawings.
• Background in DoD product environments, including requirements, manufacturing, integration, testing, and delivery.
• High proficiency in computer applications such as SAP/PRISM, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Lean Six Sigma certification is advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• IPC standards certification is a plus.
• A Bachelor’s or advanced degree in engineering or a related technical discipline is preferred; equivalent work experience will be taken into account.
• ASQ certifications such as CQE, CQA, CSQE, or CRE are preferred.
