This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Direct the swift resolution of issues caused by suppliers that affect factory operations.
• Oversee supplier quality performance through proactive measures, monitoring, escalation, and evaluation of nonconforming materials.
• Examine supplier non-conformances and formulate corrective and preventive action strategies.
• Conduct and coordinate source inspections.
• Investigate issues with supplied materials, ensuring that defect documentation, root cause analysis, and corrective measures are enforced.
• Oversee the onboarding of suppliers, source inspections, and qualification/certification processes.
• Assist with escape management, RCCA, problem-solving, and implementing systemic corrective/preventive actions.
• Evaluate supplier quality data and create supplier-specific quality strategies utilizing PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow, SPC, and other quality tools.
• Persuade suppliers and stakeholders to achieve consensus.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and adapt to evolving priorities.
• Contribute to Collins Aerospace supplier programs and ongoing improvement initiatives.
• Aid in the quarantine, containment, and screening of potentially defective hardware as needed.
• A University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related discipline with at least 5 years of prior relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
• Over 6 years of experience in a supply chain or supplier operations setting, or an equivalent background.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• Ability to cultivate strong working relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
• Experience in electronics, mechanical hardware inspection, or interpreting engineering drawings.
• Experience in DoD product environments, including requirements, manufacturing, integration, testing, and delivery.
• High proficiency in computer applications such as SAP/PRISM, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• IPC standards certification is preferred.
• A Bachelor’s or advanced degree in engineering or a related technical field is preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
• ASQ certifications, such as CQE, CQA, CSQE, or CRE, are preferred.
