Field Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.

📋 Description

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of Halter’s on-farm hardware infrastructure.

• Identify hardware problems and communicate insights to relevant teams.

• Upgrade and repair existing infrastructure as needed.

• Deliver towers and collars whenever required.

• Provide on-site assistance during farm deployments and troubleshoot installation issues.

• Take part in the global on-call roster for incidents related to towers.

• Work collaboratively with hardware, product, customer success, and other Halter teams.

• Address technical challenges while minimizing disruption to farm operations.

• Gather, interpret, and analyze hardware data.

• Streamline processes and derive actionable insights for operations.

• Create and oversee a maintenance system tailored for the New Zealand market.

• Travel throughout the South Island and across New Zealand.

• Assist customers and maintain an effective feedback loop between the field and the Auckland headquarters.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hands-on experience with tools, electrical work, construction, networking, or equipment fitting.

• A proactive and resourceful mindset in tackling challenges.

• Capability to independently manage time and meet deadlines.

• Strong teamwork skills across various locations.

• Commitment to delivering high-quality service and ensuring infrastructure reliability.

• Willingness to travel regularly, typically 3–4 days weekly and up to 3 nights away from home.

• Possession of a full, clean driver's license.

• Eligibility to work in New Zealand.

• Experience in agriculture is preferred but not essential.
