Field Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.

📋 Description

• Oversee and repair Halter’s hardware infrastructure on farms.

• Identify hardware issues and communicate effectively with relevant teams.

• Upgrade and fix infrastructure, delivering towers and collars as required.

• Assist with on-farm deployments, troubleshoot problems, and ensure installations are successful.

• Be part of the global on-call roster for incidents related to towers.

• Work in collaboration with hardware, product, customer success, and other Halter teams.

• Quickly resolve technical challenges to reduce disruptions in farm operations.

• Gather, interpret, and analyze hardware data to enhance processes and support decision-making.

• Create and maintain a maintenance system for the New Zealand market.

• Travel across the North Island and occasionally throughout New Zealand.

• Offer outstanding service and support to customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Based in Palmerston North with regular travel throughout New Zealand.

• Required practical, hands-on experience with tools, electrical work, construction, networking, or equipment fitting.

• Must possess a proactive, resourceful, and determined attitude.

• Capability to manage time independently and complete tasks within deadlines.

• Strong collaboration skills across various locations.

• Dedication to delivering high-quality service and ensuring infrastructure reliability.

• Willingness to travel unexpectedly and as scheduled, possibly 3–4 days a week and up to 3 nights away from home weekly.

• Must have a full, clean driver's license.

• Eligibility to work in New Zealand is required.

• Agricultural experience is preferred but not essential.
