Field Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Deliver culturally and linguistically appropriate address verification along with safety and well-being assessments.

• Conduct personalized safety evaluations with a focus on culture, language, and unique circumstances.

• Utilize a trauma-informed methodology to foster trust with families.

• Keep records in accordance with Applied Intellect and ICE policies using the UAC Portal and internal systems.

• Travel extensively across the country on short notice.

• Offer information, education, referrals, resources, and assistance to clients.

• Evaluate the safety and suitability of placements through interviews and home visits.

• Ensure confidentiality concerning youth and program details.

• Submit case notes, assessments, and reports via ICE and Applied Intellect documentation platforms.

• Facilitate communication with key stakeholders.

• Engage in training and communication sessions via Teams, Zoom, or other platforms.

• Uphold professional and respectful interactions with clients, colleagues, supervisors, ICE representatives, vendors, and community members.

• Report to the Field Supervisor.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, behavioral science, or social services.

• Minimum of two years of progressive experience in social services, case management, or child welfare.

• Experience in child welfare, child placements, family preservation, and social service delivery is preferred.

• Proficient in writing comprehensive and professional assessment reports.

• In-depth knowledge of local resources for immigrant communities is desirable.

• Outstanding organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Capability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.

• A suitable remote workspace for documentation, client calls, and video conferencing.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Teams.

• Competent in typing and computer literacy.

• Comfortable using a tablet/iPad or laptop for daily tasks.

• Fluency in Spanish is preferred; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

• Commitment to mandatory state reporting requirements for child abuse and neglect.

• Valid driver’s license, insurance, clean driving record, and dependable transportation if necessary.

• Successful completion of DHS/ICE Preliminary Fitness Screening and Suitability Determination.

• Federal background checks upon employment if required.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

• Possess or be willing to acquire CPR and basic first aid certification.

• Compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.

• Adherence to company policies and Federal Contract Requirement procedures.

• Successful completion of Applied Intellect’s orientation, DHS/ICE training, and any additional required training.

• Capacity to meet specified physical demands, including occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
