This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deploy, set up, and manage HavocAI autonomous systems during customer demonstrations, exercises, and operational events.
• Travel to customer locations to assist with field testing, integrations, and mission deployments.
• Create and adjust software in the field to address mission-critical challenges.
• Integrate HavocAI systems with customer platforms, communication systems, sensors, and partner technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software, networking, hardware interface, and system integration issues under real-world operational conditions.
• Analyze logs, telemetry, and system performance to identify root causes and confirm fixes.
• Collaborate with software, autonomy, hardware, product, and program teams to enhance system reliability.
• Develop internal tools, automation for deployment, documentation, and workflows that boost operational efficiency.
• Educate operators and assist with customer acceptance, onboarding, and technical demonstrations.
• Document lessons learned from field operations and translate them into product enhancements.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, partners, and government stakeholders during deployments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Over 1 year of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, robotics, DevOps, systems integration, field engineering, or related technical disciplines.
• Strong experience with Linux and confidence in troubleshooting using command-line tools, logs, and telemetry.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as C++, Python, Go, or TypeScript.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, APIs, containerized applications, or distributed systems.
• Comfortable working across software, hardware, networking, and operations domains.
• Excellent communication skills with engineers, operators, customers, and government stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the continental United States.
• Ability to travel 50–75% of the time.
• U.S. Citizenship with the capability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
• Enthusiasm for autonomy, robotics, distributed systems, or defense technology.
• Preferred: experience with autonomous systems, robotics, unmanned vehicles, or maritime platforms.
• Preferred: experience supporting customer deployments, operational exercises, or field testing.
• Preferred: experience with ROS2, DDS, Docker, Kubernetes, PX4, ArduPilot, tactical networks, command and control software, CAN, UART, Ethernet, serial protocols, edge computing, radios, GNSS/INS, cameras, radar, lidar, robotic sensors, developer tools, deployment automation, dashboards, operational workflows, or DoD, government, aerospace, maritime, or dual-use technology programs.
