Field Services Engineer III – Cardiovascular

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Hampshire, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as the main technical liaison for Medtronic Cardiovascular clients as well as sales and clinical teams.

• Conduct technical assessments, installations, support, maintenance, and de-installation of cardiovascular systems at customer locations.

• Offer technical support to physicians or technologists during clinical procedures.

• Execute installations, inspections, verification, corrective maintenance, and preventive maintenance on CV consoles and systems.

• Keep and submit technical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.

• Share field experiences and updates with office colleagues and databases.

• Enhance service processes and create and maintain service documentation and procedures.

• Provide insights to Engineering and Manufacturing regarding CV product enhancements.

• Design and deliver technical training to distributors, partners, agents, and qualified customer representatives.

• Engage in discussions on design improvements to aid in the introduction of new products.

• Research, analyze, and identify trends in technical data related to CV products.

• Contribute to special projects as requested by the U.S. Field Service Manager or designated representative.

• Offer technical training to physicians, EP technicians, and department managers at customer locations.

• Collaborate with Field Service, Technical Service, Marketing, Quality, Production, and Engineering teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• A minimum of 4 years of technical, clinical field service, or clinical customer support experience is required.

• Candidates must reside within a 60-minute drive of Boston Logan International Airport (BOS).

• A valid driver's license and an active vehicle insurance policy are necessary.

• Driving records will be evaluated as part of the application process.

• Candidates should be able to drive approximately 75% of the time within the designated territory.

• Frequent overnight travel and over 75% travel commitment is required.

• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required at the time of hire and throughout employment; sponsorship is not available for positions below Principal level.

• Capability to apply electrical, mechanical, thermodynamic, and biomedical engineering principles to troubleshooting tasks.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting and technically diagnosing medical equipment.

• Exceptional English writing and verbal communication skills are essential.

• Experience in teaching technical subjects is advantageous.

• Strong time management skills and attention to detail are necessary.

• Willingness to travel frequently is required.

• Ability to work independently without direct supervision is crucial.

• Significant direct, face-to-face customer engagement and interaction is expected.
