Field Service Technician/Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Responsible for commissioning, servicing, troubleshooting, and providing on-site support for vapour control and combustion technologies.

• Perform service, maintenance, tuning, revamps, and modifications on vapour equipment.

• Lead and assist in site commissioning activities, including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation checks.

• Conduct loop checks, wiring corrections, functional testing, and cause-and-effect verification.

• Generate site reports and commissioning documentation.

• Provide operator training and technical support to end users.

• Engage in hotline support and troubleshooting activities.

• Offer technical expertise and equipment selection support to sales, tendering, and project teams.

• Participate in supplier inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).

• Oversee site activities in accordance with quality, safety, schedule, and scope requirements.

• Supervise subcontractors as necessary.

• Identify opportunities for enhancing products, services, and customer solutions.

• Support and mentor colleagues across Zeeco’s global offices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in the commissioning, servicing, or maintenance of industrial process equipment is advantageous.

• Understanding of valves, instrumentation, electrical systems, and rotating equipment.

• Ideally possess combustion knowledge and awareness of ATEX standards.

• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and address troubleshooting issues.

• Experience with producing RAMS and operating under Permit to Work (PTW) systems is preferred.

• Hands-on approach with the capability to safely utilize tools and work in industrial settings.

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Willingness to travel internationally, including occasional weekends.

• Desirable experience with VRU, VCU, FGRU, RTO, TOX, or similar combustion/vapour treatment technologies.

• Knowledge of adsorption processes, carbon systems, vacuum pumps, and VOC handling is preferred.

• Familiarity with Siemens or Allen-Bradley PLC/HMI systems is beneficial.

• Understanding of API, PED, IEC60079/ATEX, and related industry standards is desirable.

• Additional European language skills (preferably German, Dutch, or French) are advantageous.
