This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.
• Diagnose, service, install, deploy, and repair Trace, X-Ray, CT X-Ray, and Cargo Inspection equipment at client locations.
• Travel on a daily basis to various sites in and around the Nashville metropolitan area, including the airport.
• Maintain records for field service logs, filing systems, and job documentation.
• Conduct follow-up calls with customers to enhance satisfaction.
• Install, repair, and maintain equipment in the field as necessary.
• Provide customer training when required.
• Respond to emergency and unscheduled service requests within established timeframes.
• Complete routine maintenance within specified deadlines.
• Document inspections, maintenance, and repair activities, and submit paperwork promptly.
• Order, install, and return parts while managing the repair parts cycle time.
• Maintain accurate inventories of parts and tools.
• Review logs for outstanding issues and prepare reports for customers.
• Engage in service-sales opportunities and revenue initiatives.
• Seek guidance and support from senior Field Service Technicians.
• Maintain and calibrate tools and testing equipment.
• Evaluate equipment performance and suggest modifications or improvements.
• Provide technical assistance to customers and fellow service professionals.
• Participate in site surveys, pilot service activities, meetings, special projects, and report preparation as needed.
• Keep technical knowledge updated regarding Trace and X-Ray technologies.
• Cultivate relationships with senior Field Service Technicians and Product Managers.
• Control and reduce costs while maximizing revenue.
• Submit expense reports, time cards, and fulfill administrative tasks within designated timelines.
• Adhere to company health, safety, and environmental policies.
• May oversee others on a project basis.
• Associate’s Degree, relevant trade certification in electrical, electronic, or mechanical fields, or military training in electrical, mechanical, or electronics.
• Over 3 years of comparable experience in electrical or mechanical field service work; life experience may substitute for formal education.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical and electronic systems and equipment in the field.
• Proficient in computer skills and all programs within the MS Office Suite.
• Ability to learn specialized software programs quickly.
• Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, customer service, and telephone skills.
• A solid customer focus and collaborative team spirit.
• Willingness and ability to travel with short notice.
• Capability to respond to customer issues at all times.
• Must pass TSA vetting and a federal background check.
• A U.S. Personal Security Clearance may be required.
• Must be able to lift and carry 80 lbs.
• Ability to operate carts, hoists, davit cranes, pallet jacks, or other specified equipment.
• Full-body mobility is necessary.
• Ability to work safely in diverse environments and around hazardous industrial equipment.
• Flexibility to work overtime, travel, and hours outside of the typical Monday-Friday schedule as needed.
• Must comply with U.S. export control and security regulations.
