Field Service Technician II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Conduct testing, maintenance, and repair of low- and medium-voltage circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, motor control, and various electrical equipment both in the shop and in the field.

• Carry out testing on low- and medium-voltage breakers, utilizing Megger, Ductor, Hi-Pot, Hi-Current, and timing tests.

• Execute mechanical work and repairs on breakers and switches, which includes disassembly, refurbishment, and parts replacement.

• Wire circuit breakers effectively.

• Employ and accurately interpret test equipment.

• Interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.

• Diagnose circuit breaker control issues.

• Read and plot time-current curves proficiently.

• Test transformers, including Power Factor and TTR assessments.

• Maintain accurate and consistent documentation using Power DB.

• Operate electrical tools and socket sets.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in commercial and industrial maintenance.

• At least 2 years of experience in testing industrial or commercial power systems.

• Reference and fulfill assignments as outlined in relevant specifications.

• Conduct regular fieldwork in both indoor and outdoor settings.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, communication abilities, business acumen, and management skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Capable of effective communication in English, including reading and writing.

• Willingness to undertake 50% overnight travel.
