Field Service Technician II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Oversee the commissioning, repair, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems related to new Data Center Cooling initiatives.

• Analyze work orders, blueprints, schematic diagrams, and other relevant documents to identify tasks, tools, equipment, and components required for installation or repairs.

• Handle complex assignments to minimize the impact on customer facilities and experiences while reducing the company's financial liabilities.

• Collaborate with building owners, general and mechanical contractors, engineers, and local service providers.

• Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot and resolve atypical system operation and maintenance issues.

• Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients while maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.

• Provide management with insights regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Three to five years of experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting; preferably in HVAC servicing or a related electromechanical field.

• Willingness to travel approximately 85% of the time to various job locations for commissioning and warranty tasks.

• Excellent analytical abilities and a keen eye for detail.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and manuals.

• Capability to remain engaged in projects through root cause analysis.

• Outstanding customer service skills with a commitment to exceed the expectations of both internal and external customers.

• Ability to work independently and efficiently, ensuring proper job completion in collaboration with external technicians and following up on parts delivery.

• Trade or technical school education or certification is a plus.

• Experience with industrial HVAC systems or comparable electromechanical products is preferred.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required.

• Intermediate experience with commercial projects is desirable.

• Experience in building automation is advantageous.
