Associate Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform service tasks in accordance with work instructions and ABB's quality and safety protocols.

• Provide exceptional customer service and carry out service work aligned with customer orders and expectations.

• Communicate timelines and expectations regarding service work to aid in customer retention.

• Collaborate on-site with customers to pinpoint operational enhancements and alleviate pain points.

• Carry out field service responsibilities, diagnose technical issues, and conduct certified on-site troubleshooting.

• Create material lists and verify that materials, parts, and equipment comply with quality standards and are readily available.

• Execute installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, extensions, upgrades, retrofits, end-of-life services, and replacements.

• Foster and maintain strong customer relationships.

• Identify potential new sales opportunities and relay them internally.

• Recognize potential equipment failures and suggest corrective measures.

• Propose product and quality enhancements.

• Recommend improvements in operations and customer service to management.

• Adhere to safety and environmental guidelines and report any unsafe practices or incidents promptly.

⛳️ Requirements

• Certificate in Skilled Trades (preference for electrical and electronics certification).

• OSHA 30 certification is mandatory.

• Ability to communicate written and verbal information effectively across various organizational levels.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Preferred experience in Project Management using MS Project or Excel.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet administrative deadlines.

• Demonstrates urgency and a sense of ownership until tasks are completed.

• Candidates must possess work authorization that permits employment with ABB in the US.
