Field Service Technician II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Commission, repair, and service mechanical and electrical equipment related to new Data Center Cooling projects.

• Analyze work orders, blueprints, schematic diagrams, and other relevant materials to identify tasks, tools, equipment, and parts necessary for installation or repair.

• Oversee complex projects to minimize the impact on customers’ facilities and experiences while reducing the company’s financial responsibilities.

• Collaborate with building owners, general and mechanical contractors, engineers, and local service providers.

• Engage with engineering and manufacturing teams to address unique system operation and maintenance challenges.

• Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients while maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.

• Provide management with insights regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and recommendations for product enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Three to five years of experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

• Willingness to travel approximately 85% of the time to various job sites for commissioning and warranty tasks.

• Exceptional analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and manuals.

• Capability to remain engaged in projects through root cause analysis.

• Outstanding customer service skills with a commitment to surpass internal and external customer expectations.

• Ability to work autonomously in a timely manner, ensuring tasks are completed accurately in collaboration with external technicians and following up on parts delivery.

• Completion of trade/technical school or certification is advantageous.

• Experience with industrial HVAC equipment or similar electromechanical products is preferred.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

• Intermediate experience with commercial projects.

• Experience in building automation is a plus.
