Field Service Technician II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Carry out onsite first-line troubleshooting and basic corrective maintenance for equipment and systems.

• Perform system resets, configuration checks, and minor component replacements.

• Assist with the physical installation, setup, removal, and commissioning of equipment at customer or operational locations.

• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance, which includes inspections, cleaning, and basic adjustments.

• Deliver, replace, and return spare or defective components while keeping accurate records of usage.

• Log hours worked, completed assignments, and service outcomes in service management tools.

• Adhere to service protocols, safety regulations, and site-specific guidelines.

• Elevate unresolved or complex issues to advanced technical support teams.

• Provide status updates and engage in scheduled service coordination meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Local candidate for the designated geographic area.

• Authorized to work in the United States.

• Minimum age of 19 years.

• Over 1 year of experience in field service, technical support, or maintenance roles; can include professional, contract, or academic experience.

• Basic working knowledge of relevant mechanical, electrical, or IT systems.

• Capability to follow written procedures, safety protocols, and work instructions.

• Proficient in accurately tracking and reporting hours worked in an hourly environment.

• Possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and the ability to travel to field locations.

• Capable of completing background checks, safety training, and obtaining necessary certifications, as applicable.
