This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.
• Address daily service repair requirements and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Install, repair, and maintain equipment in the field.
• Deliver customer training as needed.
• Document inspections, maintenance, and repair activities, submitting paperwork promptly.
• Order, install, and return parts while managing repair-parts cycle times.
• Review logs for unresolved issues and prepare formal reports for customers.
• Engage in service-sales opportunities and support revenue initiatives.
• Maintain and calibrate tools and testing equipment.
• Evaluate product and equipment performance using field-support data and suggest enhancements.
• Provide technical assistance to customers and fellow service professionals.
• Take part in site surveys and pilot program service activities.
• Attend meetings as necessary.
• Ensure clear oral and written communication in business contexts.
• Foster relationships with senior Field Service Engineers and Product Managers.
• Control costs and minimize expenses.
• Travel daily to customer sites in and around San Francisco, including the airport.
• Work overtime and on schedules other than Monday–Friday as needed.
• Adhere to company health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Work in diverse locations including airports, correctional facilities, courthouses, cruise ships, and others.
• May supervise team members on a project basis.
• An Associate’s Degree, relevant trade certification, or military training in electrical, electronic, or mechanical fields.
• Equivalent comparative work and life experience of 1–3 years in a related electrical or mechanical field service role is acceptable.
• A minimum of 1–3 years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing electrical and electronic systems and equipment in the field.
• Proficient in computer literacy and familiar with all applications in the MS Office Suite.
• Ability to learn specialized software programs.
• Outstanding communication, organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Strong customer focus and a collaborative team spirit.
• Timely responsiveness to customer concerns at all times.
• Willingness and capability to travel on short notice.
• Basic technical understanding of Trace and X-Ray technologies.
• Must successfully complete TSA vetting and a federal background check.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs.
• Capable of pushing and pulling up to 200 lbs.
• Able to move or manipulate equipment weighing up to 1,000 lbs with assistance from handling devices.
• Capacity to bend, stoop, twist, turn, and work in unusual positions requiring full-body mobility.
• Ability to work safely in extreme environments and around hazardous industrial equipment.
• Must comply with U.S. export control and security regulations.
• Drug testing may be required before and during employment, as permitted by law.
