Field Service Technician – Heavy Equipment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Diagnose, repair, and conduct preventative maintenance on a substantial fleet of earthmoving machinery.

• Identify and resolve electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues on excavators, loaders, trenchers, forklifts, and additional equipment.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while executing work tasks.

• Carry out preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on the entire fleet of equipment.

• Execute mechanical repairs following thorough inspection and analysis of breakdowns.

• Document detailed repair descriptions on work orders, including equipment model, serial number, and hour meter reading.

• Lubricate moving components and operate repaired machinery to confirm compliance with specifications.

• Uphold a professional image, maintain cleanliness, and present oneself and the service truck appropriately.

• Maintain a satisfactory driving record and adhere to CDL-related rules and regulations.

• Carry out additional tasks as directed by the Manager.

• Travel continuously to project locations across various states, remaining at assignments for extended durations before moving on to other projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old, in accordance with the Spriggs company insurance policy.

• Technical School Certificate and 2 years of relevant work experience or 5 years of relevant work experience.

• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.

• Proven track record of safe and dependable work habits.

• Proven capability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy earthmoving machinery.

• Familiarity with equipment operations and mechanical functions.

• Excellent communication skills are essential.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays.

• Proficiency in both spoken and written English is a mandatory requirement for this position.

• Capacity to perform long periods of repetitive lifting, standing, kneeling, sitting, grasping, twisting, and climbing stairs/ladders.

• Availability to work evenings and weekends as necessary.

• Capability to lift up to 60 pounds.

• Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening is required.
