Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage in a thorough training program that spans approximately three months, combining both fieldwork and classroom instruction.

• Travel to various customer locations within the region to install, repair, troubleshoot, service, and calibrate advanced measuring instruments.

• Gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).

• Record service activities meticulously and maintain precise service documentation.

• Operate independently while representing ZEISS in a dynamic and innovative environment.

• Be prepared for travel 70–90% of the time within the region, addressing a diverse range of customer needs, locations, and challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a high school graduate, possess a GED or equivalent, or hold a technical school, associate, or bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or have relevant training and experience from a Military Technical School.

• Previous experience with hand tools and basic electrical testing equipment is essential.

• Familiarity with Microsoft operating systems is required.

• Must be capable of lifting items weighing up to 75 pounds without assistance.

• Willingness to work a minimum of 50 hours per week, encompassing both regular and overtime hours.

• Ability to function in an industrial production shop floor environment.

• A valid driver’s license is mandatory.

• Experience in installing and troubleshooting industrial electronics, machinery, or computer systems is preferred but not obligatory.

• Prior experience with CMM installation and troubleshooting is preferred but not mandatory.
