Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Identify, repair, and document quality and design issues related to Xos vehicles and products.

• Transform customer-reported concerns into actionable technical tasks.

• Generate comprehensive reports detailing causes, root causes, and suggested corrective measures.

• Enhance production quality and field-fix development through thorough reporting.

• Collaborate with teams across design, engineering, software, and external partners.

• Conduct diagnostics on low- and high-voltage electrical systems, control tasks, and module programming.

• Utilize electrical concepts and various volt-ohm meters in diagnostic processes.

• Maintain commercial truck mechanical systems, including motors and harness systems.

• Deliver professional customer support in person, over the phone, and via email.

• Complete case notes and repair orders, as well as initiate new cases as necessary.

• Fulfill assigned training objectives and obtain relevant certifications.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise with high- and low-voltage electrical systems.

• An associate degree or vocational certificate in automotive service technology or a related discipline, or 4+ years of pertinent experience.

• ASE certifications are advantageous.

• CDL Class A or B is preferred.

• Proficient in Google Suite applications.

• Capable of reading and interpreting electrical schematics.

• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.

• Must meet security clearance requirements and adhere to applicable pre-employment conditions.

• Legally eligible for international travel and admissible to Canada for business purposes.

• Ability to acquire and maintain necessary travel documentation.

• Willingness to travel 60–80% of the time, often including overnight stays, weekends, holidays, and outside of standard business hours.

• Frequent cross-border travel to Canada is required.

• Must be able to regularly lift over 50 pounds and work under commercial vehicles, using personal protective equipment, in outdoor conditions and varying weather.
