Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Identify, repair, and document quality and design issues related to Xos vehicles and products.

• Convert customer-reported concerns into actionable technical tasks.

• Provide comprehensive reports detailing the causes, root causes, and corrective measures.

• Work collaboratively with design, engineering, software, and external partner teams.

• Diagnose both low- and high-voltage electrical systems, controls, and module programming.

• Utilize electrical principles and operate various volt-ohm meters.

• Apply mechanical expertise in commercial truck systems, motors, and harness systems.

• Deliver professional support to customers through onsite visits, phone calls, and email communications.

• Document case notes and repair orders, and initiate new cases when necessary.

• Fulfill assigned training goals and obtain necessary certifications.

• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency with high- and low-voltage electrical systems.

• Associate's Degree or Vocational Certificate in a field related to automotive service technology, or 4+ years of relevant experience.

• ASE Certifications are advantageous.

• CDL Class A or B is preferred.

• Proficient in Google Suite applications.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.

• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.

• Must meet security clearance requirements and comply with applicable pre-employment conditions.

• Legally eligible for international travel and admissible to Canada for business purposes.

• Capable of obtaining and maintaining all necessary travel documentation.

• Willingness to travel as required by business needs, typically 60–80% of the time, including overnight stays, weekends, holidays, and outside standard business hours.

• Ability to lift over 50 pounds and work under commercial vehicles using personal protective equipment in outdoor settings and varying weather conditions.
