Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Conduct troubleshooting and provide training for customers on both new and existing machines.

• Commission new machines, which includes testing and demonstrating equipment at customer locations.

• Repair current equipment at customer sites.

• Execute service, maintenance, and repairs to ensure the equipment is operational.

• Travel 70–80% to customer locations within Canada and abroad for machine startup, troubleshooting, repair, and training.

• Suggest repair parts and product enhancements to clients.

• Instruct and educate customers on the proper maintenance and operation of Nordco equipment.

• Create weekly travel expense reports and field documentation.

• Collaborate with engineering and/or production teams to resolve issues with new machines.

• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of equipment and processes.

• Work autonomously and establish strong relationships with customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent qualification.

• At least 5 years of experience as a mechanic specializing in industrial or mobile heavy equipment.

• Comprehensive understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

• Proficient in reading schematics.

• Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues.

• Possess mechanical aptitude.

• Capable of interpreting written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions.

• Able to address practical problems and manage different variables in various situations.

• Competent in reading and interpreting business documents, technical procedures, government regulations, and professional journals.

• Proficient in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.

• Capable of effectively presenting information and addressing inquiries.

• Able to collaborate with diverse personalities and foster strong customer relationships.

• Valid driver's license required.

• Valid passport necessary.

• French language skills preferred.

• Training in PLC and/or CanBus systems troubleshooting is highly desirable.
