This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Perform repairs, calibrations, troubleshooting of electronics, and service visits to client locations.
• Diagnose, maintain, test, and calibrate industrial flow, level, and temperature measurement devices at customer sites.
• Install, initiate, and commission instrumentation at customer facilities.
• Respond to technical support inquiries via phone and address post-sale product support emails.
• Travel to client sites for troubleshooting assistance.
• Troubleshoot and maintain instruments that interface with DCS, PLCs, MMIs, SCADA, pressure transmitters, thermocouples, analyzers, and various industrial field control devices.
• Conduct calibrations and input operating parameters and specifications in accordance with customer plant standards, management, and/or engineering requirements.
• Document visits to customer sites through Field Service Reports and expense reports.
• Train FCI staff, clients, and sales-channel partners on the installation, operation, integration, configuration, servicing, and utilization of FCI products.
• Associate of Science degree or vocational training in electrical, mechanical, or instrumentation, with relevant professional experience.
• 1–3 years of progressively responsible work experience (commercial or military).
• Familiarity with HART, Profibus, Modbus, or other digital bus communications.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Capability to clearly convey technical information to non-technical users and clients.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting complex issues involving various electronic components.
• Capacity to sit and talk on the phone for extended periods while using a computer keyboard.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 lbs., grip, wrench, and twist for long durations.
• Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, utilize man-lifts, and wear harnesses while climbing.
• Potential capability to work in or near nuclear facilities.
• Willingness to work overtime as necessary.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Valid passport.
• Ability to travel globally for extended periods (30–40% of the time).
• Ability to pass customer-site credentials/background checks, including those required for a TWIC card.
• Strong organizational skills and professionalism in customer interactions.
• Financial accountability to customers and FCI.
