Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Deliver on-site technical assistance for customer projects and ensure the smooth execution of daily operations

• Assist with both cold and hot commissioning of battery systems

• Address battery-related performance challenges, such as cell and module charging/balancing, and manage other site-specific equipment

• Aid in the decommissioning of battery systems and sites, encompassing site maintenance, cleanup, disassembly, and equipment removal

• Act as the primary EHS representative in the field, ensuring daily compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards

• Serve as a point of escalation for field service issues, resolving customer concerns promptly

• Monitor field teams to achieve favorable operational metrics

• Collect and relay customer feedback to enhance service processes

• Support the implementation and ongoing improvement of SOPs for service activities

• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate new tools and technologies into field operations

• Ensure adherence to safety regulations, company policies, quality standards, and industry benchmarks

• Complete administrative tasks related to projects, including daily reports and expense documentation

• Travel to and stay at assigned job sites until all tasks are accomplished

• Manage field tools necessary for assignments and projects

• Strive for excellence in all operational areas

⛳️ Requirements

• Technical or Trade degree, High School diploma, GED, or equivalent professional experience

• Over 1 year of experience as a field service technician in the electrical power generation, renewable energy sectors, or related fields

• Relevant safety certifications

• Proficiency with computers and experience in the installation of controls-related firmware and software

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Capability to work independently and effectively collaborate with a team

• A continuous learner adept at managing multiple projects and objectives

• Ability to adhere to instructions and fulfill tasks as promised

• Self-motivated, highly detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable

• Proven accomplishments demonstrating leadership, teamwork, integrity, and accountability

• Willingness to travel and engage with customers

• Capability to frequently lift objects weighing over 50 lbs, and to stand, sit, or kneel for prolonged periods, while working outdoors in various weather conditions

• Requires 75% or more travel to customer locations
