Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Install, integrate, repair, and troubleshoot intricate flexible machinery.

• Ensure that inspection, testing, quality, and operational specifications are adhered to.

• Supervise or guide customer personnel during machinery installations, integrations, and maintenance.

• Tailor machine programs on-site to fulfill customer requirements.

• Maintain a sporadic 24-hour on-call status and offer telephone technical support.

• Provide factory floor assistance when not engaged in customer field service.

• Educate customers on the operation and servicing of machinery.

• Support customers with aftermarket parts requirements in the field.

• Engage in extensive travel to customer locations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Knowledge and skills pertaining to mechanical principles.

• Willingness to travel extensively within the US and occasionally internationally.

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Emphasis on customer service.

• Familiarity with PLC/PC systems is advantageous.

• Proficient in Windows and Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Capability to train customer personnel on equipment.

• Preferred experience with flexible packaging material machinery.

• At least 1 year of experience in machinery repair.

• Preferred experience in PLC programming.

• Technical Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Willingness to travel at least 75% of the time.

• Eligibility to work in the United States; employment eligibility will be verified through E-Verify.
