Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Install, inspect, and initiate operation of equipment manufactured by the company at customer locations.

• Service company products on site, which includes testing, troubleshooting, and making necessary adjustments.

• Utilize gauges, meters, and electrical testing tools to verify specifications and operational parameters.

• Offer customer support via telephone, email, or in-person interactions.

• Relay product issues to the Quality and Engineering departments.

• Conduct training for customer employees on equipment operation and maintenance.

• Complete daily expense reports, project activity records, and specific documentation related to projects.

• Assess equipment setup for warranty activation.

• Maintain technical expertise and keep abreast of industry advancements through company training initiatives.

• Execute other duties as assigned by management.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.

• Capability to apply mathematical concepts (fractions, ratios, measurements).

• Proficiency in reading, understanding, and converting instruction manuals and diagrams into actionable work.

• Proven track record as a Field Service Technician.

• Flexibility and adaptability to a diverse range of work responsibilities.

• Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on achieving results.

• Mechanical aptitude and experience with a variety of power tools.

• High reliability and dependability.

• Expertise in switchgear(s), diesel and natural gas fuel systems, load banks, PLCs (Modicon, Allen Bradley, Siemens), and other technical service applications.

• Preferably possess experience in the power generation sector or a related industry.

• Willingness to travel at least 75% of the time, frequently out of state.
