Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, engaging with them in a friendly, helpful, and open manner.

• Efficiently organize and prioritize customer issues while proactively addressing problems.

• Conduct customer installations, maintenance, and service calls in a timely and effective manner.

• Work on electromechanical equipment, including self-checkout systems, within a designated territory.

• Execute maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance tasks, and system overhauls.

• Service or replace networking devices, such as access points and switches.

• Participate in both virtual and in-person classroom training sessions.

• Collaborate with educators, mentors, coaches, and a diverse array of individuals across service territories.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a local candidate within a specific geographic area.

• Authorized to work in the United States.

• Minimum age of 18 years.

• Possess a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets NCRV fleet standards.

• Proficient in PC skills, basic electronic skills, and knowledgeable about specific hardware and operating systems.

• Capable of performing essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

• Willingness to travel frequently, including driving for several hours each day.

• Availability for rotating and weekend shifts.

• Flexible scheduling, which includes morning, afternoon, and evening shifts as well as some holidays.

• Must be able to lift and carry tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs. unassisted and up to 150 lbs. with assistance.

• Ability to bend, squat, walk, stand, sit, reach, and repeatedly grasp and manipulate objects.

• Willingness to be trained on and operate small-scale scissor lifts in retail settings.

• Employment is contingent upon successfully passing applicable screening criteria.

• Preferred: familiarity with large servers, mainframe computers, and imaging software.

• Preferred: A+ Certification, CompTIA, or N+ Certification.

• Preferred: one or more years of relevant experience.
