Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Execute customer installations, maintenance, and service calls in a timely and efficient manner.

• Service electromechanical equipment, such as self-checkout systems, within a designated territory.

• Conduct maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance tasks, and system overhauls.

• Interact with customers as a primary point of contact, providing assistance in an open, supportive, and engaging way.

• Organize and prioritize customer issues while proactively resolving problems.

• Participate in formal virtual and hands-on training sessions.

• Service or replace networking devices, including access points and switches, in retail settings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a local candidate within a specified geographic area.

• Authorized to work in the United States.

• Minimum age of 18 years.

• Possess a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets NCR fleet standards.

• Proficient in PC skills, basic electronic skills, and familiar with specified hardware and operating systems.

• Capability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Willingness to travel extensively, driving several hours each day.

• Ability to work rotating shifts and weekends.

• Flexible working hours, including morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, as well as some holidays.

• Capacity to carry and lift tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs. unaided, and up to 150 lbs. with assistance.

• Ability to bend, squat, walk, stand, sit, reach, and work with hands, as well as repetitively grasp and manipulate objects.

• Openness to receiving training on and operating small-scale scissor lifts.

• Employment offers are contingent upon passing relevant screening criteria.

• Familiarity with large servers, mainframe computers, and imaging software is preferred.

• A+ Certification, CompTIA, or N+ Certification is preferred.

• One or more years of relevant experience is preferred.
