This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts, +2 more states.
• Oversee and replenish the trial hardware kit while managing the rotation of hardware.
• Locate local sources for replacement parts for standard components.
• Carry out vehicle assessments at pre-site locations for intricate trials.
• Execute hardware installations on standard commercial vehicles, including configurations for hardwired systems, diagnostics, and basic AUX Hub setups.
• Conduct basic field diagnostics utilizing a digital multimeter and device diagnostic tools.
• Confirm device connectivity and recording, addressing common activation problems.
• Examine and validate every vehicle prior to acceptance.
• Update customer fleet managers on installation progress and completion.
• Respond to basic product inquiries on-site and escalate more complex questions to AE or SE.
• Monitor hardware inventory and report supply issues to IPM.
• Communicate expanded deployment scope to CPM and advanced technical installations to FSE.
• Frequently travel to trial installation sites and customer fleet facilities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• 2 to 4 years of practical hardware installation experience is required; experience in vehicle telematics is preferred.
• Mechanical proficiency with device mounting, cable routing, and power connections in commercial vehicles.
• Basic understanding of 12/24V electrical systems.
• Capability to take voltage, current, and continuity measurements with a digital multimeter (DMM).
• Comfortable working in fleet yards, trucking facilities, and industrial environments, including outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Detail-oriented, with a strong emphasis on installation quality and documentation as essential requirements.
• Professional demeanor in customer-facing situations.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel locally and regionally on a frequent basis, nationally on occasion, and internationally as needed.
• Expected travel is 80% or more.
• Availability to work weekends and overtime when necessary.
• Occasional overnight travel will be required.
• Familiarity with best practices in fleet telematics installation for both light- and heavy-duty vehicles is preferred.
• MECP, ASE, or OEM manufacturer certification is highly desirable.
• Experience with Class 7-8 or specialty commercial vehicle configurations is preferred.
• Basic experience in device activation, firmware, or connectivity verification is preferred.
• Previous experience coordinating or supervising a small installation crew is preferred.
