This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +2 more states.
• Deliver high-quality service and repair for intricate Wescam MX-Series airborne surveillance turrets.
• Repair, test, and maintain Wescam MX-Series sensor systems according to established protocols and customer deadlines.
• Possess a thorough understanding of gimbal systems, their components, and associated peripheral interfaces.
• Diagnose, repair, and test malfunctioning systems.
• Address aircraft integration challenges related to the MX product line.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on MX turrets.
• Complete initial MX training along with comprehensive on-the-job training.
• Assist U.S. Homeland Security, Law Enforcement, and DOD Military customers by servicing mission-critical sensor systems.
• Act as a knowledgeable resource for colleagues in specialized areas.
• Finalize service and repair documentation along with technical trip reports.
• Provide training to customers on MX operations and operator-level maintenance procedures.
• Make autonomous decisions impacting the performance and availability of essential systems.
• Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering to implement corrective actions.
• Be available for occasional off-hour or weekend tasks for customers.
• Travel to OCONUS sites for short-term assignments, including potentially hazardous conflict zones.
• High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or a 2-year post-secondary/Associate’s Degree with at least 3 years of related experience.
• Capability to acquire and maintain an active secret security clearance.
• Willingness and ability to undertake short-term assignments at OCONUS locations.
• Must fulfill all medical requirements for overseas assignments, including a comprehensive post-offer medical examination.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience with electronic and mechanical testing equipment.
• At least 4 years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing aircraft integration, electronic, and mechanical systems down to the line-replaceable-unit level.
• A minimum of 4 years of prior Field Service Representative (FSR) experience in both CONUS and OCONUS repair roles is preferred.
• At least 4 years of experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, as well as specialized software testing programs.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical customers.
• Direct experience with systems integration, software, optical, and electromechanical systems is advantageous.
• Prior experience with MX sensor systems mounted on aircraft, towers, or aerostats is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with government contracting is favorable but not mandatory.
• Experience working independently or with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
• Experience with Special Operations, AFSOC, DOD, Airborne Law Enforcement, or similar roles is desirable.
