Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machinery.

• Service forklifts, scissor lifts, and articulated boom equipment utilized in construction projects.

• Report directly to the Shop Service Manager.

• Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure they operate efficiently.

• Read and comprehend operating manuals, blueprints, and technical diagrams.

• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.

• Test mechanical products and equipment post-repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.

• Clean, lubricate, and conduct routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment.

• Troubleshoot operational issues and identify suitable repairs.

• Install equipment, machines, wiring, or systems to meet specified requirements.

• Monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to confirm proper machine operation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a shop or field environment.

• Automotive technicians with dealership experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

• Experience with forklifts is preferred.

• Must possess personal tools.

• A valid Driver's License is required.

• A clean DMV record will be verified.

• Must be capable of wearing protective gear such as goggles, face shields, gloves, and work aprons.

• The role frequently involves heavy lifting, with the ability to pull up to 100 pounds, and working in awkward positions or beneath vehicles.

• Proficient with trade-type tools or hand tools.

• Ability to read and interpret operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings is essential.
