Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Install proprietary wrapping and palletizing machinery at customer manufacturing and production sites.

• Troubleshoot, maintain, service, calibrate, and provide routine or emergency breakdown support for complex equipment.

• Conduct training sessions for fellow technicians and provide onsite training for customers.

• Execute machine testing on proprietary wrapping and palletizing systems and components at both company and customer locations.

• Oversee the initial startup and commissioning of newly installed machinery within existing production lines.

• Perform initial diagnostics to ensure optimal functionality of equipment.

• Lead training workshops for company technicians and engineers.

• Create internal training documentation.

• Educate customer end users on safe operational procedures and maintenance practices.

• Travel to customer facilities across Europe to test, install, initiate, demonstrate, and train clients on BW Converting equipment.

• Coordinate with counterparts and facilities in Serbia.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma (or an equivalent foreign degree).

• 8 years of experience in installing, troubleshooting, and training customer employees on the safe and efficient operation of proprietary equipment in the paper products sector.

• 8 years of experience interpreting assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, machine manuals, technical procedures, and specifications for the installation of new machinery and upgrades.

• 8 years of experience providing routine and/or emergency mechanical/electrical service on company equipment, diagnosing root causes of issues, and preparing reports detailing findings and solutions.

• 5 years of experience setting up and operating machinery to produce customer products, instructing operators in setup and operational procedures, and offering technical support for customer inquiries and business needs.

• 5 years of experience in machine process control, particularly with Giddings & Lewis, Rockwell, and/or Siemens PLC machinery and tools.

• Proficient in Serbian.

• Willingness to travel up to 85% both domestically and internationally.

• Capability to work with technical manuals, wiring diagrams, machine manuals, technical procedures, and specifications.
