This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Carry out service tasks in accordance with work instructions and adhering to ABB's quality and safety standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service and perform service work that meets customer orders and expectations.
• Relay service work schedules and expectations to promote customer loyalty.
• Collaborate on-site with clients to uncover operational enhancement opportunities and address challenges.
• Execute field service assignments, troubleshoot technical issues, and perform certified on-site diagnostics.
• Compile material lists for service tasks, ensuring that materials, parts, and equipment fulfill quality requirements and are readily available.
• Carry out installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, extensions, upgrades, retrofits, end-of-life services, and replacements.
• Foster and maintain positive relationships with customers while identifying potential new sales opportunities.
• Detect potential equipment malfunctions and propose corrective measures.
• Recommend enhancements for products and quality improvements.
• Suggest operational and customer service enhancements to management.
• Adhere to safety protocols and uphold safe working and environmental practices; promptly report unsafe practices and incidents.
• Report directly to the Service Manager.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with over 1 year of experience in servicing critical power equipment, OR an Associate’s Degree in electrical technology with more than 3 years of experience, OR a High School Diploma/GED coupled with 5+ years of relevant work and/or military experience in servicing critical power equipment.
• Proficient in interacting and conveying information (both written and verbal) to various organizational levels.
• Advanced skills in using Microsoft Office applications.
• Moderate capability in Project Management utilizing MS Project or Excel.
• Advanced ability to compose test plans and reports that detail testing outcomes.
• Highly organized and capable of meeting deadlines for administrative responsibilities.
• Strong collaborator with the ability to work effectively with others.
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ownership until tasks are completed!
• Candidates must possess work authorization allowing them to be employed by ABB in the US.
• Option to choose between two medical plans: a PPO plan known as the Copay Plan or a High Deductible Health Plan (with a Health Savings Account) referred to as the High Deductible Plan.
