This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.
• Collaborate with customers on-site to pinpoint areas for operational enhancement and alleviate pain points.
• Carry out field service responsibilities, including diagnosing technical problems and performing certified on-site troubleshooting.
• Generate material lists for service tasks, ensuring that materials, parts, and equipment adhere to quality standards and are readily available.
• Implement installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, extensions, upgrades, retrofits, end-of-life services, and replacements.
• Foster and sustain positive customer relationships to boost satisfaction levels.
• Spot potential new sales opportunities while addressing customer requirements and relay this information internally.
• Anticipate potential equipment failures and propose corrective measures.
• Recommend product and quality enhancements.
• Provide management with suggestions for enhancing operations and customer service.
• Adhere to safety protocols and uphold safe workplace and environmental practices.
• Promptly report unsafe practices and incidents.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with over 1 year of experience servicing critical power equipment, OR an Associate’s Degree in electrical technology with more than 3 years of experience servicing critical power equipment, OR a High School Diploma/GED alongside equivalent work and/or military experience (5+ years) in servicing critical power equipment.
• Advanced proficiency in interacting and conveying written and verbal information across various organizational levels.
• Advanced skills in using Microsoft Office applications.
• Moderate expertise in project management utilizing MS Project or Excel.
• Advanced capability to draft test plans and reports that detail test outcomes.
• Advanced organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines for administrative tasks.
• Strong collaboration skills.
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ownership until tasks are completed.
• Candidates must possess work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the US.
