This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mississippi.
• Execute installation, calibration, preventive maintenance, and repairs on electro-mechanical medical devices.
• Identify equipment failures, determine root causes, and implement corrective measures.
• Oversee the designated service territory, which includes organizing service calls, preventive maintenance, and travel logistics.
• Maintain comprehensive service documentation, maintenance records, inventory transactions, and calibrated testing equipment.
• Plan and procure necessary parts while ensuring effective inventory management.
• Educate and guide customer personnel on the operation, maintenance, and inspection of equipment.
• Update customers on service status, arrival times, and resolutions of issues.
• Represent Vantive in a professional manner to customers and colleagues alike.
• Mentor and assist service technicians while contributing to meetings, training sessions, troubleshooting guides, and best practices.
• Propose service enhancements and keep leadership apprised of operational requirements and challenges.
• Engage in installation projects, field actions, and assigned initiatives; take the lead on projects as necessary.
• Handle sensitive components with care and adhere to hospital, environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Travel to clinical and stakeholder locations for technical support, training, and meetings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Background in biomedical engineering, encompassing installation, maintenance, and repair of medical devices.
• Capability to diagnose problems, execute mechanical adjustments, and independently resolve complex equipment issues.
• Ability to operate autonomously and manage a designated territory effectively.
• Strong interpersonal abilities and a professional demeanor.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint.
• Capacity to work in healthcare settings while following PPE protocols.
• Physical ability to stand, kneel, bend, and regularly lift up to 50 lbs, with occasional heavier lifting using appropriate tools.
• Willingness to travel 50–75%, including potential overnight stays.
• Readiness to drive long distances or fly as necessary.
• A valid driver’s license is required.

• An associate’s degree or higher in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline; OR an associate’s degree or higher in a non-related field with at least 3 years of electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience; OR BMET certification with 3 years of electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience; OR completion of a U.S. military program in electrical or electrical biomedical equipment technology.
• Prior field service experience is highly preferred.
