This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee operational readiness initiatives for the launch of new sites, which includes budget monitoring, resource allocation planning, readiness evaluations, and status updates.
• Track startup and deployment costs while delivering reports, analyses, and actionable recommendations.
• Coordinate technician onboarding and field training in collaboration with Learning & Development and operational leadership.
• Engage in technician interviews and offer technical evaluations and hiring suggestions.
• Assess technical skills during onboarding and provide constructive feedback and readiness evaluations.
• Counsel Operations Managers and Regional Service Managers on workforce preparedness, technical deficiencies, process enhancements, and operational efficiencies.
• Offer on-site technical guidance for facility launches, operational interruptions, and urgent staffing requirements.
• Act as the technical escalation contact for intricate equipment, system, and operational challenges.
• Provide hands-on coaching, technical instruction, and developmental feedback to field technicians.
• Collaborate with operational leaders to evaluate workforce readiness, prioritize field support deployments, and enhance service delivery.
• Establish and nurture customer relationships through expert technical assistance.
• Contribute to the Kenco Operating System by engaging in continuous improvement projects, audits, investigations, and actions related to safety, inventory, equipment, and operational effectiveness.
• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• An associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
• 5-8 years of experience in the service, maintenance, or a related technical field involving material handling equipment.
• 2-4 years of experience in a supervisory or lead technician role is essential.
• Proven expertise in diagnosing complex mechanical, electrical, and/or automated systems.
• Demonstrated ability to train and mentor individuals in technical settings.
• Strong understanding of business systems and technology platforms.
• Previous experience as a trainer or lead technician is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to set up an iPad.
• Certified forklift operator trainer.
• Expected travel of approximately 50% - 75%.
• Flexibility to be deployed on short notice based on business requirements.
• A passport is not required but is recommended.
