This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Oversee operational excellence and drive profitable growth within the electrical service sector.
• Manage the performance of the area business, focusing on health and safety, productivity, quality, and essential financial indicators.
• Lead field technician service teams across the district.
• Provide preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, commissioning, and modernization solutions for ABB clients.
• Oversee district workshops for shop-based repairs and modernization services.
• Ensure the safe, high-quality, and timely execution of services.
• Collaborate with ABB regional service teams and functional departments.
• Lead strategic growth initiatives within the district.
• Partner with Sales and Commercial teams to deliver effective solutions for ABB customers.
• Ensure customer retention by providing exceptional field service experiences.
• Promote continuous improvement and the implementation of first-time-right practices.
• Monitor field service KPIs and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and implement enhancements in service excellence.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business or equivalent experience with 5-8 years in the field; alternatively, no degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Essential knowledge of field service operations.
• Proven strong leadership capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented approach.
• Strong planning and prioritization abilities.
• Must possess a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Practical experience with SAP, MS Word, MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and other office software.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience navigating the cultural diversity of a global business environment.
• Maintain high safety and housekeeping standards and ensure adherence to all environmental regulations.
• Must currently have authorization to work and reside in the US.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
