Field Service Engineer/Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Install, service, maintain, and execute field corrective actions for BD Life Science equipment at client locations.

• Deliver service, preventive maintenance, modifications, and installations with minimal oversight.

• Diagnose system failures and ensure prompt, effective on-site repairs for customers.

• Oversee company assets, which include cell phones, computers, tablets, tools, and inventory parts.

• Build and nurture positive business relationships with both customers and colleagues.

• Carry out administrative tasks, such as logging hours worked, training, and expense reporting.

• Update customers regularly regarding instrument repairs and status updates.

• Frequently collaborate with Technical Support to deliver the highest quality of customer assistance.

• Work closely with district team leads and dispatch to coordinate and support the customer base.

• Act as a field-based, customer-facing representative of BD.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma is mandatory.

• An Associate's degree in electrical, mechanical, or a similar engineering field or a Biomed program is preferred.

• Equivalent Military training is a plus.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential.

• Capability to use computer-based tools for reports, emails, and general communication.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

• Skill in positively interacting with customers, peers, and support staff.

• Logical and methodical approach to thinking and actions.

• Willingness to work different shifts, be on-call, and work nights and weekends as necessary.

• A valid driving license is required.

• A clean driving record over the past three years is necessary.
