Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Install autonomous vehicles along with associated equipment such as chargers, I/O panels, and operator interfaces.

• Conduct system testing, debugging, and validation processes.

• Travel domestically and internationally to client locations.

• Modify both equipment and software as needed.

• Troubleshoot and address electrical, mechanical, and software enhancement opportunities.

• Make necessary adjustments to both software and hardware.

• Monitor performance metrics of the systems.

• Provide training to customers.

• Engage and communicate with customers effectively.

• Collaborate with other engineers on various projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Software, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, etc.).

• At least 2 years of full-time engineering experience.

• Capability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

• Previous software experience is required; familiarity with C, C++, MATLAB, Python, and Visual Basic is preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.

• Ability to compose reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.

• Competence in presenting information and addressing inquiries from managers, clients, customers, and the public.

• CAD proficiency is necessary; AutoCAD experience is preferred.

• A valid driver's license is required.

• Ideally, the candidate should reside near a major airport.

• Must be able to travel domestically and internationally 60–75% of the time.
